Song

My favourite song this month has got to be I am The Doctor by Murray Gold. This track helps me concentrate during revision or when I'm desperately trying to complete last minute coursework. It motivates me to complete work, I think it's because it's an action song from the show and it helps me to think right, The Doctor would get it done so come on!

Films

Kingsman: The Secret Service is my favourite film this month. Why? Well - Eggsy, Eggsy, Eggsy! Basically Taron Egerton is an amazing actor and makes the whole film and then it's topped off with Colin Firth (Are all his characters called Harry?). It's really funny, the one liners are great and it's got loads of spy gadgets and secret mission, and a villain played by Samuel L Jackson... oh, and a lady with blades legs - she can literally chop someone in half.

This month I am also liking Love, Rosie which I saw for the first time last week. It's been out since October but I thinks it's a really good film. I read the book that it is based on which was originally titled 'Where Rainbows end' and I feel like the film did justify the book, however, there were a few changes and I would recommend reading the book (now titled 'Love, Rosie') before seeing the film.

Game

I have an extreme addiction to 2048+# which is basically the extended, bigger board of 2048. It's a pretty addictive game and is definitely to blame for my insomnia... I also discovered a version of 2048 which I will talk about later on in this post!
Another game I've just got back into is Habbo... I discovered they have a mobile and app and wel - that was it. I think it's great meeting new people and going through all the different rooms. Plus, I have a dog called Odin... He's sassy an won't eat food when he's told too...

Fitness, Fun, and Tears of the Young - Wednesday's Child

G r e e t i n g s  E a r t h l i n g s

Goood Wednesday, readers. Today is a mediocre day. (Which by my standards is pretty good, so let's just roll with that.)

This week, find out how I:

 - Finished season seven of House
 - Created a fitness schedule for myself
 - Had the show I was going to be in cancelled
 - After four weeks of rehearsal
 - Suffered the reappearance of my insomnia
 - Had my first cup of tea ever that I didn't spit out and throw up at
 - Gotten very fucking angry at my school for softcore transphobia (which I'll get to next week)

So yes, all in all it's been an exciting week filled with twists, turns and a couple of kick-you-in-the-crotch-fantastic letdowns. My show was cancelled as a similar show with the same title is actually currently running as a fringe production, (which our drama guy didn't actually realise when he wrote it for our group). So, due to legal issues, one of the only shows I've been excited about in this group has been cancelled. That kind of sucked.

Also my insomnia's back, which is making everything I try and do (including constructing coherent and witty sentences, do schoolwork, and generally muster the will to live) is made about 79% more difficult. Oh yeah, and that includes trying to get to sleep.

However

I did try my first cup of herbal tea, and it didn't totally suck. It was some leafy herbal infused shit that my mum bought a couple of months ago, (which we'd totally forgotten we even had), so to break in our new state of the art you-can-set-the-temperature-for-your-beverage kettle (which has recommended heat settings for different kinds of tea on the side) we each had a cup. I didn't spit mine straight out, which is always a good sign, so I figure if I can force myself to semi-enjoy this stuff, then maybe I can force myself to enjoy green tea, and experience it's magical properties for myself. I have been told that it's basically like giving speed to your metabolism and everything is processed through your body faster. Also this particular herbally-mystical leafy crap is supposed to have calming effects on the body and help you sleep (which sounds a little creepy but whatever.)

So, with those factoids out of the way (that's the 'fun' in my title done), on to the 'fitness' and 'tears of the young'.

Yes, 2015 is the year I decided to get hot. (That being said, thanks to some pictures from Maya, we can both say that puberty has done a pretty good job so far because she actually turned out pretty well and I only turned out kind of resembling an out of date potato.) But anyway. 2015. Me. Hot.

It's going to be a long, arduous journey, filled with me hating everything and everyone. But I swear to Jesus himself, come my eighteenth birthday, I am going to fucking slay like the firebreathing gorgeous dragon I am. In the meantime, to get to that get-the-fuck-outta-my-way stage, I'm going to have to do some exercise.

Now, this isn't entirely just so that I can be that intimidating hot girl at the bar who can just turn guys down because 'nah bruh', this is also because I'm 5'3 and I struggle to open some doors because I am, in fact, pathetic. Like, it's not even funny any more.

My areas of toning-concentration are my arms, back, abs, hips and butt. I have rock solid legs already for some unknown reason, as Lollie discovered a few months ago when she poked them, so I don't need to work on them, but I've looked up some leg exercises just for y'all to enjoy.

Don't let these smiling faces deceive you. I'm on day three, my body feels like it's on fire and I'm regretting every single life decision that brought me here. Also, top tip, if this all seems like a fucking dumb idea, either half every exercise, or just don't do them and go get a pizza. That would 112% be the smarter option.

And if you're up for a jog, it's a very good all over body toner, but everything is painful and you have to go outside, which is bad.

Character Review! - Tuesdays with Ash

Heya guys!

Sorry that I didn't post last week guys! It was half-term and I spend most of my time sleeping! A brilliant excuse, I know.

Anywho, a couple of weeks ago Belle did a character review on Ian O'Shea from the book The Host, so I decided that I would do my own review on one of my favourite characters! (Just a heads up, if you guys haven't read Harry Potter yet there will be spoilers ahead so read at your own risk!)

If you hadn't guessed yet, yes this character is from Harry Potter and it is none other than... 

Draco Malfoy!

For you guys who haven't seen or read Harry Potter Draco starts off being one of the main antagonists of the books and stays as Harry's rival through the series, until the very end where he has a change of heart. As many of my friends know I adore this character and I have a crush on the actor who played him spectacularly in the films, who is none other than Tom Felton.

Since this review will be about the Draco in the books, Harry and him first meet in Madam Malkin's which is a clothing shop in Diagon Alley where they are being fitted for robes. They engage in polite conversation but it is clear from the way Draco talks, especially when he talks about pure-bloods being 'our kind' and calling Muggleborns 'mud-bloods' that he is extremely arrogant and Harry instantly has a dislike of him. During this entire exchange Draco has no idea who Harry is until when they meet again on the Hogwarts Express (or outside the Great Hall in the films) and he extends his hand in friendship. 

However, Harry completely disregards him as Draco had previously insulted Ron who Harry had just made friends with. Through the rest of the third year Draco attempts to make Harry's life a misery and even goes as far as to try and expel him. Draco is constantly followed by his 'henchmen' Crabbe and Goyle, and his most famous saying is 'wait till my father hears about this!'

Throughout the first four books Draco is portrayed as a bully to Harry and his friends, with Rowling even suggesting that Draco was jealous of Harry's high status as 'The Boy Who Lived' which is shown when Draco ridicules Harry when Lockheart's having a book signing by saying 'you can't even walk into a book ship without making the front page'. Many people may wonder why I like this character so much and I honestly can't explain why, but it will start to make more sense as the book series continues.

It is in the 5th book (The Order of the Phoenix) when you start to see a change in Draco's behaviour, as his father (Lucius Malfoy) is send to Azkaban (a wizard prison) due to Harry revealing him to be a Death Eater (a follower of Voldemort). Draco attempts to hex Harry on the Hogwart's Express but his friends come to the rescue and Draco, Crabbe and Goyle end up going home looking like giant slugs! 

Draco's life takes a turn for the worst in book 6 (The Half-Blood Prince) as he has become a Death Eater and has been given the task of killing Dumbledore. It is told later that if Draco did not succeed in his mission, Voldemort would kill him and his parents instead. Draco spends the whole year trying to fix The Vanishing Cabinet so that the Death Eaters can enter Hogwarts. Draco's character changes drastically as he is shown to become distant from his friends and almost kills Ron and Katie Bell when attempting to kill Dumbledore. Draco himself almost dies when him and Harry have a wand fight (no dirty thoughts here guys!) in Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom but is healed by Snape. When the time comes for Draco to kill Dumbledore, he cannot bring himself to do it so Snape intervenes and all the Death Eaters flee Hogwarts.

During the last and final book (The Deathly Hallows) it is hard to tell whether Draco is still on Voldemort's side or has turned good. When Harry, Ron and Hermione get captured Draco is forced to identify Harry, in which he says 'it might be'. This is a huge character development for Draco as even though Voldemort has threaten to kill him and his parents, he still won't intentionally give Harry up. This means that there might still be a chance for Draco to prove himself. As well as this when Draco, Crabbe and Goyle flee the burning Room of Requirement with Harry, Ron and Hermione and Crabbe doesn't, it shows Draco morning for his lost friend which shows that even though Crabbe seemed no more than a henchman for Draco he was still considered a dear friend. 

It is also shown during the final confront between Harry and Voldemort that Draco does indeed have a close relationship with his parents. When Narcissa is ordered to check whether Harry is still alive after being struck by the Killing Curse, she lies about his being alive so that she will be able to search Hogwarts for Draco. After Voldemort dies, it is briefly mentioned that the Malfoys are all sitting huddled together showing that they are all alive and well. In the epilogue, Rowling has stated that Draco married Astoria Greengrass (the younger sister of a classmate of his) and they now have a son called Scorpio. When Draco sees Harry, it is shown that he gives him a brief and curt nod which symbolises that their rivalry is other and they are no longer enemies. However, on Pottermore Rowling has also stated that Draco and Astoria are not teaching Scorpio to be scornful at Muggle-borns and only be friends with pure-bloods, which apparently Lucius is not so happy with. But for all I could care, Lucius can go and stick his opinion where the sun don't sun as his son has grown up and has become a better person than what he was.

This character has gone through many significant changes and has grown up into a good man in front of our very eyes. As you can see from the gif, he obviously deeply cares for his son and wife and I am so glad that he got a happy ending. With the amount of shit that happened in his life, I think that he deserves it. Yes, I admit that he was a douche to the Golden Trio but it is clearly shown in the books that he has grown out of that arrogant boy and if Harry can forgive him then so can you. Even though it may take Ron some convincing otherwise, with him telling his daughter Rosie not to get too friendly with Scorpio, as 'Granddad Weasley would never forgive you if you married a pure-blood'. 

I hope you guys enjoyed this not-so little review about Draco Malfoy and I hope that if you didn't like him before, that you may like him a little bit now.

My February favourites

Hey guys,

So I decided that this week I'm going to do my February favouirtes since I forgot to post last week. The reason I didn't post last week was because I was out shopping with Summer and Lollie in Stratford and it was half term. 

So here it is

1. Black Chocker

The first item on my favourites is a black Chocker from Claire's, I bought this a few weeks ago and it cost me only £3. Chokers have been bought back into fashion recently and to keep up with the trends I decided to buy a simple black plastic one. Now I don't really like checkers because I find them restricting on my neck but this one is actually quite comfy and I would recommend it. If you have a primark near you, you can buy two checkers for around £2 which is slightly cheaper. 

2.  Earrings 

 The second item on my list I actually bought last Monday when I went shopping and I absolutely love them! In primark they sell a set of nine individual earrings; now I 

Ove mix match earrings and rarely have matching earrings in! So I thought these were brilliant so I bought three diffrent packs. They cost only £1.50 each, and range from silver and gold. 

3.  Swarovski stardust bracelet 

For Christmas my main present from my parents was a Swarovski stardust bracket. I got it in the dark grey and it was the double bracelet which means it loops those around the wrist and you can wear it as a Chocker. It cost £69 and is filled with the Swarovski dimonds surrounded by netting. Now I love this bracelet and think it goes with anything but I do know it's quite pricy. 

4.  Maybeline New York colour sensational lipstick 

 When I went shopping with Lollie and Summer I decided to buy a lipstick in a purple shade, so I bought this lipstick. It cost £6.99. I'm in love with this lipstick and I love the purple colour so much- however it doesn't last long after and during eating. 

5. deluxe lipstick 

I also bought super drug a lipstick from COLLECTIONS , I got it In a red shade and I really like it. It cost around £4 which I found was very affordable and it lasts well

Doctor Who Series 9 Reports (SPOILERS!) - Lollie

Hey guys, It's me Lollie being a nerd once again!

So it's been half term and if I'm honest - I haven't done a lot apart from spend a lot of money, eat too much food, binge-watch Doctor Who and tweet constantly... Woah - my life sucks. 

Well it doesn't suck fully because A) I learnt how to cook and flip pancakes successfully and B) there have been so many beautiful film set reports of series 9 of Doctor Who and so many beautiful spoilers and fan theories ^_^

So, I'm just gunna round them all up for an of you Whovians who have missed something.

SPOILER ALERT DO NOT READ ON IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO READ MANY POSSIBLE SPOILERS

Jenna is staying for all of series 9... Or is she?

As far as we've been told, Jenna Coleman is staying on as Clara Oswald as companion for the entire series 9. I saw something on Twitter earlier that indicated that Jenna was in fact attending Emerald City Comic Con in Washington - this mean that she either has a break from filming for a while, or that she is in fact not completing the full series 9 as companion. This is just my opinion but I think that she's probably staying for the whole series.

The new series will return in autumn 2015

Okay, this one - I have a bone to pick... Whatever happened to series starting in April? 'Rose' (the first episode of New Who, Series 1) back in 2005, was aired on March 26th and The Eleventh Hour (first episode of Series 5) was aired April 3rd 2010. I do know why the series started airing again in September time but I kinda wish they started a little earlier in the year. 

Series 9 will probably air around August 23rd ish as that's what it was last year I think. 

BBC released a teaser picture of us! But wait... Is that a Dalek?!

So the first thing about this picture is the red dots on the map - what are they for? Why are they all over Canda? What episode are they in? I think this is filming for block 2 of the series which does include Episode 1 and 2.

Then, when you think all is well - Bam! There's something that looks like a Dalek. I had to do a double take of this picture because I'm not sure about this one. Yes it a a blue light but it's hard to make out any other features. Unless it is some hybrid Dalek of some sort i don't know whether we can assume that it is a Dalek for now.

Episode 1+2 names have been revealed and there are a two parter! Along with episode 3+4 which is also a two parter!

Episode one is called 'The Magicians Apprentice' and Epsiode two is called 'The Witches Familiar', they are a two-parter. Episode 3+4 are two-parters also that have been written by Toby Whithouse who wrote Epsiode such as 'Vampires of Venice' and 'The God complex'.

Guess who's back, back again - Missy, Kate and UNIT

Yes! That's right! Just yesterday the BBC confirmed that Michelle Gomez will be rejoining the cast in Episodes 1+2 as the evil and malevolent Missy! It was also confirmed that Jemma Redgrave will be back playing Kate Lethbridge-Stewart, which also means the return of UNIT. Sadly, we had confirmation from the MOFF that Osgood was dead - however, never trust Steven Moffat! 

Also, Clare Higgins who played one of the potion lady of the sisterhood of Karn in 'The Night of The Doctor' is re-appearing. This has lead to a fan theory that I would love to be true, however, I doubt that it is.

This would explain how John Simm's Master, regenerated in Michelle Gomez' Missy, however, I don't know whether John would be willing to return due to his recent bad experiences with over-bearing fans on Twitter. I would love it to be true and I would love to know how she managed to gain another regenaration when she has used them all up.

Has Missy had a bump in with Captain Jack or River because 'oh look, what's that in you pocket?' Sorry, on your wrist...

Michelle Gomez was in a video posted by the BBC yesterday saying how she was happy to be back on set and back being Missy. As she filmed the video, she was in her costume and on her wrist - Is a vortex manipulator! 

Is this what she used to escape her fate of being shot by a Cyberman? And is she being chased by UNIT for it back as The Vortex Manipulator is under UNIT protection. Also will we ever find out where Missy's TARDIS is? And does she really know where Gallifrey is?

Filming locations include Caerphilly Castle and MOD Caerwent

The first shots of the set and filming were of MOD Caerwent - this is persumably being used as some type of Russian base to do with UNIT for the first 2 two-parter episodes. There were some rumours speculating about two TARDIS' being taken to the set...

Jenna, Jemma and the TARDIS were spotted also at Caerphilly Castle. 

'Son-ta-huh?' 

If you don't pay attention to this photo very carefully, it just looks like Peter and a fan of the show who happened to be doing his training the day of filming but... Then you look at the shadow on Peter's coat - is that the familiar shape of a Sontarans head? Could it be Strax? Could this mean the potentially return of The Pasternoster Gang? (Please let them return, oh please). 

This was taken at the filming at MOD Caerwent and is part of the first two parter (episodes 1+2) meaning it's from the same Epsiodes as the picture with the a possible Dalek in the background - ooohhhhh! That could get interesting - Sonatarns and Dalek, oh my ...

Coal Hill is back

Jenna was spotted this half term, staring at the sky out of one of the windows at Tonyrefrial school, along with her motorbike spotted in the grounds.

Clara's a... MAN???

Jenna's stunt man (yes man) was spotted filming just today in Wales on the motorbike. 

He was wearing a green and white skirt and black high heeled boots - these are the same things Jenna was wearing at Caerphilly Castle so that means they are both in Episodes 1+2. 

Everything was filmed from up here - hense so they could use the stunt double 

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No one knows because Moffat's a poop head.

Basically today, at the filming of the motorbike scene, two children are standing by the road and they are looking up at the sky. People who were on location said they were told to look at a 'frozen plane' in the sky. Clara goes past on the motorbike, unfazed by the whole thing.

'Doctor... We're in... Spain?' 

A member of the film crew tweet a while back and confirmed that they were on set in Spain - apparently they filmed two Epsiodes. The episodes filmed in Spain could quite possibly be Toby Whithouses 'creepy thrilling' two parter for Epsiodes 3+4.

Don't blink... She's back

The woman who directed the award-winning episode 'Blink' is back and is set to direct Block 2 of the Series 9 filming - this includes the first two-parter.

Oh my what in the name of sanity is this rumour? 

Alex Kingston might be returning as River Song.

I say might because there have been two thing that suggest it - 1. Alex herself said she looked forward to sharing more of River's story with the fans 2- she said that Doctor Who don't have more money for series 9 because 'you should see her trailer'

Valentines Day Thoughts - Saturdays with Payton

Hey!

It's Payton here, ready to share some love with you on Valentines Day! I was having a deep thinking moment about Valentines Day before writing this post and I would like to share my thoughts with you, if that's okay.

Valentines Day is usually "advertised" for none of a better word for couples, boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands, wifes etc, and describe it as spending the day with someone that you care and love about. So I thought why is it advertised as being for people in relationships but not for everyone. I mean obviously yes you would want to share the day with your boyfriend, girlfriend etc but wouldn't you also want to spend the day with your mum, dad, sister, brother, friends and other family members and people who you care about who you also have a relationship with, plus the day is described as being with someone who you love and care about.

Sorry rant over, now on with the rest of the post!

So I am going to keep in the theme of Valentines Day and I will be doing a Valentines Day tag for you all, so let's get started!

1. What is your favorite Valentines Day treat? 

Oooo, something tasty to eat like chocolate! 

2. Sweethearts or chocolate covered strawberries?

Definitely chocolate covered strawberries ftw!

3. What was your favorite Valentines day memory?

I don't have a special memory, it's really just a normal day for me spending it with my family, as sadly I do not have a boyfriend to spend it with, but that's okay at least I'm spending it with people I love!

4. What movie would you rather watch on Valentine's Day: Pretty Woman or You've Got Mail?

I actually haven't seen either Pretty Woman or You've Got Mail........Lemme google something quickly....... okay so from their plot lines I would rather watch You've Got Mail.

5. What celeb would you not mind having as your Valentine?

Ooooo, this question is a tough one, I would not mind having quite a few different celebrities as my valentine although I think that I have now made up my mind.

I would definitely not mind having Chris Hemsworth as my Valentine or Taylor Glockner or Harley Bonner.

 

6. What would you do on your perfect Valentine's date?

I haven't really thought of this to be honest with you, I think that it depends, on one hand I would love to go for a meal and to the cinema, but I think that everyone does that, but really I would love to do something that we would both enjoy together.

7. Red or pink lips on Valentines Day?

I do love red lips but I do not think that I can pull it off, but I am trying different combinations and colors but until I find the right one I will have to say pink lips.

8. What is your ideal Valentine's Day date outfit?

This would depend on what we are doing that day, I would definitely try and wear something cute no matter what, if it was a meal out then I would rock the dress and heels but if it was something else then I may wear something more casual, but I am usually indecisive with what I wear so it would be something I pull together last minute!

9. Homemade or store-bought gifts?

I love both, but I do think that homemade gifts are cute and more personal and memorable.

10. Would you wear your hair up or hair down for a date night? 

I would wear my hair down and it would probably be curled. I just hate wearing my hair up unless it is perfect.
