Why do I always get the 'Eves'? - Wednesday's Child

GREETINGS Y'ALL!

When I last left you, we were just about to embark on the magical journey of Christmas, (reindeer and all). It's been a week since then, which means a week of this. (My sarcasm has reached new levels, the other six will be please to know.)

Yes, I've been enjoying my big main present of House MD (so much so that I've finished a season in a week) as well as some of the other goodies I got, including the book my favorite movie (The Help, not Captain America) was based on, the book of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, two Hugh Laurie CD's some lipgloss that Peggy Carter would be proud of, the strongest perfume I've ever smelt, and two pairs of converse.

In case you didn't guess, I had a kick ass Christmas.

But yeah, my week has basically been a Hugh Laurie fest. From watching him play a grumpy, drug addicted Doctor to listening to him singing 1890's style blues on my two new CD's (as my snapchat read - The Hugh Laurie trifecta is complete.) His CD's also inspired me to dig out my Mum's Stevie Wonder CD, so I'm pretty much all jazzed up from now until the day I die. There is never going to be a shortage of jazz and blues on my laptop now.

I also started House of Cards, which runs along the same lines as The West Wing - people people are dicks to each other while politics goes on in the background. House of Cards differs from The West Wing in one fundamental way; in House of Cards the main character is a twisted psychopath. I would recommend it wholeheartedly, but only if you're 16 or older (it carries an 18 rating in the UK, so for some 16-year-olds even that is pushing it). The rating is for a very good reason - cue sex, drugs,alcohol, murder and prostitutes in a steady stream.

That being said, I'm going to avoid talking about House of Cards for now - maybe by next week I can give a spoiler-free review of season one.

For now, I think I should probably sign off as I'm not feeling great (oh what a poetic way to end this year), so , keep safe tonight on New Years Eve, have a beer for me, and enjoy yourselves.

Happy New Year, and as always,

I'm with you 'till the end of the line, folks ♥

Christmas 2014 roundup from Payton - Saturday's Blogger

Hey!

It's Payton again with your Saturday blog! So today is the first 'normal' day after Christmas, well I don't particularly call this day a normal day or the days in between boxing day and New Years as I feel that we are just coming out of our food coma and then we continue to eat the leftovers while looking at what we got for Christmas. I know that Christmas is not all about the presents and don't worry my family had a three day Christmas extravaganza altogether! Now these few day's in between Christmas and New Year I like to try and get prepared for the year ahead by organizing and planning my New Year Resolutions, this year I would like to get fit and tone my body up as I have definitely eaten too much over the past week, also I would like to try and cut down on the time I spend procrastinating, comment below what resolutions that you are thinking of making!

So I bet you are all wondering what I got for Christmas, I enjoy watching YouTube videos on what people got for Christmas as I find it interesting to see what people got others to see if it suits their personality if that makes sense to you (well it does to me and I enjoy it... I know, i'm weird). So here's my roundup of what i got for Christmas 2014:
I have received a Jimmy Choo Stars perfume, Lipsy London sweater, Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 eye shadow palette, Bare Minerals primer among many other clothes and makeup items. One thing to learn about me is that I am not a big reader unlike some of the other bloggers, however I was very excited to receive two books in which I have asked for months for, The Guinness Book of World Records (which i ask for every year as everything in there just seems to interest me) and I received the I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! - The Inside Story book which I fell in love with instantly as soon as I opened it! Usually you cannot make be quiet however I instantly fell silent as soon as starting reading the first sentence on the first page! I love looking at behind the scenes of how shows are made and this book was perfect.

Oh, the Christmas day memories of a couple of days ago and the family tradition of every year of sitting down watching a Christmas film before sitting down to the main event of Christmas dinner. This year was no different and the film my family and I watched was The Sound of Music Live! I love the Sound of Music and when I heard about this version I was so excited to watch it, I mean it was starring one of my favorite people on the planet - Carrie Underwood. (Yes I am a young English girl in love with American Country music, but who cares, trust me she has an amazing voice that you will fall in love with)

Anyway I feel that I haven't even told you much about my Christmas as so much happened over the days that I spent with my family and friends celebrating Christmas but I hope you have enjoyed reading about some of my Christmas traditions and my Christmas 2014!
I can't believe that this is my last post in 2015, it feels that this year has just flown by.
I hope that you have had a wonderful Christmas 2014 and I hope you have a brilliant New Year and an amazing year in 2015!

See you next Saturday! - In 2015!

Last Christmas - Doctor Who Christmas special review (Spoilers!)

Hello, I am Baymax, your personal healthcare companion. I heard a sound of distress, what seems to be the trouble?
'The Doctor Who Christmas special' I hear you scream... Yup, me too - the only way to describe this episode is a feels rollercoaster.

First, I loved the 'Inception' feel to the episode. I love dreams and all that kind of stuff so that element was a big plus for me.
I think my favourite character had to be Shona, she seemed to be very likeable and just a typical person - also, I'm very curious as to who David is and I loved her dancing. Shona was the first to ask if she was dreaming and she threatened to fight Santa. She was the first to mention The Doctor's 'Magician' type look which got me thinking about the first episode of the next series - The magician's apprentice. That was probably just Moffat dropping small Easter Egg like things.
On the subject of Steven Moffat, he made his trailer miss-leading... again the whole 'You. Are. Dying' with Clara in the trailer led us to think that maybe this was the end of the road for her as a companion. In my opinion, I think her time with The Doctor is up but this obviously isn't how Moffat is thinking as at the end it said ' The Doctor and Clara will be back next series in - The Magician's Apprentice'. I've heard a lot of rumors and obviously, they are still rumors because neither Moffat nor Jenna are saying anything about it.
Also, like last year when Amy appeared out of the blue, the same thing happened with Danny. We had no warning and oh god the feels when Clara says 'Danny Pink is dead'. She also slapped The Doctor again and this time, not with betrayal, an actual slap, which seems to be becoming a regular thing that I'm not too sure I like...
I feel like The Doctor should've left Clara in the dream state with Danny because that would've been a nice way to go. Although I did feel that dream Danny was a bit much, he was exactly how Clara wanted him to be, without all the things he was when he was actually alive. It felt to be as if it wasn't Danny.
The two elves had me cracking up, they were hilarious! and Nick Frost I applaud you for being an amazing Santa Claus, there couldn't have been someone better.
 Now I watched the episode with my sister and she found it very confusing when I kept going 'Moffat damn you!' but I'm sure you will all understand.
Anyone know when the soundtrack to series 8 is coming out because I am in love with the 12's running theme. I need it!

favourite quotes
- Three words Shona. My. Little. Pony
- There's a horror movie called alien? now that's offensive, no one aliens keep trying to invade you
- You know why it's so hard to see the difference between fantasy and reality? Both are ridiculous
- Chocolate... why did I get chocolate, what's that about
- How much more obvious do you want me to be? Do you want me to text the Easter bunny!
- As The Doctor would say ' oh it's all Dreamy-Weamey' (little reference to Timey-Wimey I think)
- Shut up Santa
- No no no we don't need all this touchy feely stuff
- I'm The Doctor I'm not your mum

In this episode, there was that little bit of 11 coming through, it showed in how much he cared about Clara and the whole reverse on the Christmas cracker pulling, where instead of Clara helping The Doctor pull a cracker because he was old, it was The Doctor helping Clara pull the cracker. The fact that The Doctor put himself in a dream state, risking death to get Clara out, shows he still cares. I think what hit me hardest was when The Doctor looked at old Clara and he saw nothing but the same young Clara that he had first met. Also, Clara may have admitted her slight admiration towards  The Doctor saying that there was once a man but he was impossible and she also said she believed in Santa but he looked slightly different.

I don't know if I covered every aspect but I'm sure you all understand my whole feeling of the episode.
Overall, it was one of the best specials so far ( not overtaking The Time of The Doct obviously, it's been a whole year since Matt, sigh) and that Clara should've gone but if she's staying then, I guess I can't do anything... I don't own Doctor Who or the BBC... yet...

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas day, (I did, I got Sims 4, clothes, 12's sonic screwdriver and Rivers TARDIS journal, among other things) and I hope you have a good boxing day too and a happy new year for that matter as next time I post it'll be 2015. Yup, I'll be blogging to you on the 2nd of January 2015, how crazy is that!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

I've always believed in Santa Claus, but he looks a little different to me...

Merry Christmas Guys!

Hey guys!

So first things first, Merry Christmas to you all, hope you've all been spoilt and have a lovely day! Its been a great morning so far, I woke up and went for a wander round the beach, went for a quick surf then came back to open my presents!

Im now sat in my pyjamas with my coffee and Christmas morning inspired muffins. These muffins are super quick and easy and taste delicious, so I thought I'd share the recipe with you all!

So first of all, you will need:
•250gramsplain flour
•2 ½teaspoonsbaking powder •½teaspoonbicarbonate of soda •100gramscaster sugar •1teaspoonground cinnamon •¼teaspoonground nutmeg
•2clementines
•approx.125mlfull fat milk
•75mlvegetable oil
•1large egg
•175gramsdried cranberries
•3teaspoonsdemerara sugar(for the topping)

Now to make the muffins, you will need to:
•Preheat the oven to 200°C/gas mark 6/400ºF.
•Line a 12-bun muffin tin with muffin papers.
•Measure the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, caster sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg into a large bowl; grate the zest of the clementine/satsuma over, and combine.

•Squeeze the juice of the clementines/satsumas into a measuring jug, and pour in the milk until it comes up to the 200ml mark / halfway between the ¾ cup and 1 cup marks.

•Add the oil (or slightly cooled, melted butter) and egg, and lightly beat until just combine

•Pour this liquid mixture into the bowl of dried ingredients and stir until everything is more or less combined, remembering that a well-beaten mixture makes for heavy muffins: in other words a lumpy batter is a good thing here.

•Fold in the cranberries, then spoon the batter into the muffin cases and sprinkle the demerara sugar on top.
•Bake in the oven for 20 minutes until light and springy to touch and serve warm.

I hope you enjoy these and have a lovely Christmas!

See you nex week,

Love Maya♡

It's Christmas Eve Oh God (Hobbit spoilers ahead) - Wednesday's Child

Greetings Y'all!

And I should probably also say Merry Christmas Eve too. What are you guys exited for? Personally I'm exited for my eight season box set of House MD, which I've been waiting patiently for for about two months now. I'm also getting converse, but when it's a toss up between shoes and watching eight seasons of this, I'm totally picking the TV show. (There's also a super cute Australian doctor but we'll move past that.)

So, what have you been up to in the past week? Get up to anything interesting? Why am I asking questions? This isn't a conversation this is a blog post??

Anyway, I'm gonna tell you what I've gotten up to in the past week. And lemme tell you something, friend... It's been heartbreaking.

Let's do a timeskip from my Wednesday post to Friday, shall we? Let's do a timeskip all the way to when I watched the line of Durin literally get wiped out in the Battle of the Five Armies. Let's talk about the fact that they all deserved so much better dammit.

Alright, to begin my rant, let's talk about this little angel. Fili was the first of Durin's line to die, as he was killed by Azgog. Now this is the first little thing I have a problem with. Personally, as someone who is yet to read the book (it's on my New Years list, don't worry) Fili's death wasn't too bad. Used as an example by Azgog and a way of enraging both Thorin and Kili to fight hand to hand, Fili's death was heartbreaking. But after a little bit of thought on it, if Fili wasn't going to be given more than five minutes screentime before this point, he should have at least been given a more prominent role in his death.

When Azgog tosses him down in front of Kili to see, there's no mourning. Kili just draws his sword and rushes up the stairs like the adorable Dwarf/puppy he is, before promptly slashing his way through Orcs and meeting his own demise (more on that later.)

Does Fili not deserve any mourning? As the older brother, and the heir to the throne should Thorin die, should he not have had some form of mourning? I would have expected Kili to be shocked, maybe go to his brother and... Gee, I don't know, cry perhaps?? Instead he charged off to fight, and ended up getting stabbed in the chest.

Now, next we move on to my adorable Dwarf/puppy. I literally thought I was going to cry at his death, except I have a little problem with it. Tauriel.

Now don't get me wrong. Tauriel (who I'm going to name my awesome Elven princess) kicks ass. I love her by default as I've been a fan of Evangeline Lilly's for a long time, but I think the romance between her and Kili was a little overplayed. Kili entered his final fight against the Orcs fighting to avenge his brother, but he ended it by rushing to Tauriel's (a woman he'd known for less than a week by now) defense. The way I saw it, he died for Tauriel, and not for Fili. Now for me, that was wrong. Fili was his brother, and as much as he might have thought he loved Tauriel, he'd spoken to her maybe twice (one time she made a dick joke and the second time she saved his life so I think they're basically even). And up until this point, I had been so on board with the Kili/Tauriel romance. Just... In the midst of it I felt like the scene lost the point of why Kili had rushed into that fight to begin with.

I will now redirect you to this little angel his brother.

Okay, long rant short, the Hobbit actually broke my soul. The line of Durin deserved so much better.

So that's me done for this week (BOTFA has basically been the only thing on my mind since Friday), and I'll see you next week. Stay safe this holiday, Merry Christmas, and remember:

I'm with you 'till the end of the line, folks ♥

Writing Tips - Tuesdays with Ash

Heya guys! =D

As I promised last week, this post is going to be about writing tips. Blimey this week has flown by!

I suppose that most of these tips are focusing on fiction stories, but that doesn't mean that they can't be applied to other genres as well!

1) Read, read, READ!

This is probably the most common tip you will ever hear about writing, but it is completely vital. Reading regularly will help to widen your vocabulary range and may also help improve your writing style. It is also a lot of fun! However, if you wish to extend your vocabulary even further then don't just read the same genre over and over again. Have a stab at reading something different for a change! Always hoarding up on fantasy books about superheroes or mythical creatures? Try reading books about a modern day teenager or about police forces solving crimes. I have to tell you that I'm a sucker for fantasy books *cough* Harry Potter *cough* but recently I've been giving crime books a whirl, mainly books by a guy called Clive Cussler. It isn't something that I would usually read but I am really enjoying his books! I'm reading Cyclops at the moment and I just cannot put it down!

This rule doesn't just apply to novels either, it can also apply to magazines or newspapers or whatever takes your fancy. However, if you are happy with the genre you are reading at the moment then stick with it! There are some types of genres which people can't agree with and I understand that. Just read whatever you like to read and I sure that you'll be coming up with story ideas in no time! Here's a very true (but quite blunt) quote from a famous author:

'If you don’t have time to read, you don’t have the time — or the tools — to write. Simple as that.' Stephen King

2) Keep a notebook for your story ideas

Having a notebook for any ideas that suddenly pop into your head I think is extremely important. This means that you have plenty of space to develop your idea which will lead into making up characters and devising plots. I find this period of story writing is the most fun as you have complete control over this story and you have the power to make as many plot twists as you like. Cool huh? Also, if you are someone like me who is forever coming up with new ideas (I really need to think up a new word for 'idea') then a notebook is the perfect place to jot them down where you come back to them later.

3) Don't let writer's block get you down!

Ah, yes. A writer's worst nightmare. This phase happens to every single writer and unfortunately it will happen more than once. This can strike at any moment and can carry on days, weeks and even months. However, just because you get a writer's block doesn't mean that it's the end of your story! There are quite simple ways to get around this obstacle. One of the main ones is to leave that story and write something completely different. Doing this will help to get your creative juices flowing and hopefully you'll be back to finishing your story in no time!

However, if this doesn't work for you then just skip that section of the story and concentrate on another bit. For example, if you cannot work out how to get a particle scene going then just skip over it or write the very ending of it. Once you've done this then you should hopefully be able to fill in the missing pieces! One way or another you will get over your writer's block as there is nothing but your lack of imagination stopping you. Seriously though, don't give up on one story if you can't figure out how to continue it. Who knows, maybe one day that story will appear on bookshelves in W. H. Smiths and you'll become world-famous just like J. K. Rowling.

4) Don't overuse 'fancy' words

This tip might sound strange but I find it to be entirely true. I have this one friend who I won't name (they are not one of my fellow bloggers by the way) who does this frequently but refuses to drop the habit. Of course, it's good to use a few long words in your story as it helps to add flavour to it but don't go over the top. For example:

I hasted through the morose woods, my feet were pulverising the bifoliate floor and my heart felt like it was going to extravasate out of my chest.

If I'm honest I would have no idea what some of those 'fancy' words mean if it wasn't for my trusty thesaurus. If you don't know what those words mean exactly then how do you expect some of your readers to know? Anywho, here's another version:

I ran through the dark woods, my feet were hitting the forest floor heavily and my heart felt like it was going to break out of my chest.

Even though it is now kinda plain it is an improvement as now you can understand what is going on. Here's the finished piece:

I scurried through the sinister woods, my feet pounding against the moss-coated ground and my heart felt like it was about to burst out of my chest.

There are still a couple of 'fancy' words in this finished piece but this time they are more understandable and now they also make sense in this context. Once you get this under wraps your story will be a lot more enjoyable to read. Just make sure that if you do use 'fancy' words that you know exactly what context and tense they go into and most importantly, what they actually mean!

5) Get someone else to read your work

Once you have finished a chapter, a section of your story or indeed the whole entire book let a friend read it. When editing your work or rewriting sections it is very hard to do on your own. Getting another person's point of view can be a tremendous help as it can help you to see your story from another angle. For example, when I finished a chapter of a recent story I let a friend read it and they noticed a part of a paragraph which I hadn't noticed that didn't really fit in so I deleted it, which made the paragraph a hell of a lot smoother to read.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hope these tips will help you in your story writing and good luck with it! Just remember: don't give up as one day you might see your book in a book store one day =D
On a side note, I hope you guys have an absolutely wonderful Christmas and that Santa got you what you wanted! I'm not sure what I'm going to post next week topic wise so that'll be a surprise for you =P Also, sorry that this post was quite long as I might have gotten a bit carried away with examples or explanation XD Leave me any questions in the comments and I would love to know if these tips have helped you in any way in your creative writing =D
See you guys next week and have a very Merry Christmas! <3
The most amazing brownies ever!!
Hey guys,
So as promised here is my recipe I use when I make my amazing brownies that all of my friends adore!
So the ingredients you'll need are;
165g (5 1/2 oz) of butter- plus Extra for greasing,
200g (7oz) of dark chocolate, grated or chopped,
3 whole eggs,
2 egg yolks,
Seeds of a vanilla pod or 2 tsp of vanilla extract,
165g (5 1/2 oz) of soft light brown sugar,
A pinch of salt,
2 tbsp of plain flour
1 tbsp of cocoa powder,
154g pack of Oreos- or any biscuits, nuts, honeycomb etc
Icing sugar for dusting
So you'll need to start with preheating your oven at 180 degrees, and grease you tin- I would recommend using a 20cm/8in square tin and if you have tinfoil tins you could always bake your brownies in this if your taking them out.
Melt your butter in a bowl either in the microwave or over a medium heat, then add your chopped chocolate and melt this as well.
In a separate bowl whisk the eggs, egg yolk and the vanilla, then add the sugar in two additions and whisk between each adding, when it's all added pour the chocolate/butter mix into the bowl and whisk again- try not to knock the air out of it.
Add the flour, cocoa powder, salt and a third of the biscuits and stir until fully combined.
Pour this into your tin and scatter the remaining biscuits, or nuts on top and then bake for 25-30 minutes.
I hope you'll enjoy these brownies, after you get it out of the oven you can cut it into however many you want but I recommend around 16.
Enjoy!!
Here is what it was: it was a nail varnish advent calendar! :D It comes in an adorable packaging in the shape of a mansion houses that unfolds to reveal little doors with varieties of nail varnishes and different finishes for your nails inside it. Let's just say I am one happy girl as I love painting my nails and do it way too often!
Enough about me, this week I am going to talk about the build up to Christmas and buts that you could have done or still can do in the last few days before Christmas Day.
Last week I told you about winter wonderland, well here are some other bits that you could do:
-visit Santa! :P
Getting to know your Saturday blogger -Payton
Hey!
I'm Payton and I will be your Saturday blogger, which I think is pretty sweet if you ask me as I think that Saturday is the best day of the week! Especially this Saturdays as it is the first official full day of the school holidays! I am your usual teenage girl into makeup, hair and fashion although what will surprise you is the other things that you wouldn't expect me to be interested in which I will tell you later on.
So let's get into a little bit about me, I won't tell you too much as you can learn about me more through my upcoming posts. So you know my name, Payton and thats pretty much it, so let's fill you in on my vital statistics. I am 17 years old and I live in the best place in the world, England! along with the other Sweethearts of this blog. I am an only child which has its benefits and drawbacks but I think that its pretty cool because I have a pretty sweet mum and dad. Your probably thinking that I live in a super cute little house, well your kind of wrong with that, I don't just share the house with my mum and dad but i share it with 6 cats, you are probably thinking wow that's a lot, and I know it is especially when we are all crowded in the same room!
On with more about me, let me get the boring part of my life out of the way, school, I am currently doing my first year of my A Levels and I am taking 3 subjects, ICT, Psychology and Maths. They seem like a weird combination of subjects to many but strangely i enjoy them all, although they can be tough.
Now onto the exciting stuff! I am a complete fangirl like many of the other Sweethearts, I enjoy some of the same things that they fangirl over but some other things that I like they look at me confused when i start talking about them! I absolutely love all things American! (some of these things will probably be topics for some of my other posts) I am in love with many reality TV shows, Dance Moms, Cake Boss, Rich Kids just to name a few. Also I am addicted to YouTube, and there are so many people on there that I watch.
Okay my favorite color is Pink, my favorite bands would be either The Saturdays, Fifth Harmony or We The Kings to name a few and my newest obsession would have to be with Carrie Underwood; my favorite TV shows would either be Dr Who, some reality TV show like Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders or any TV show that just suits my personality really.
You may think that I have so much going on in my life. with all of my interests but, this is just the start of getting to know me, I mean you will learn that I am a huge procrastinator so anything that I do on a daily basis is a huge accomplishment for me!
Every Saturday expect anything from me from random vents about life to reviews to tips and advice and much more!
See you next Saturday!
The life of Lollie - your Friday blogger
Hello everyone!
I'm Lollie and welcome to The Seven Sweethearts blog. By now, you will have had 5 people talking to you about what this blog is about... but just in case you still don't get it - we are The Seven Sweethearts and we will be posting a blog post each day full of thoughts, advice, reviews and much more about our day-to-day lives. I'll be posting to you all on Fridays which is good because Fridays, happen to be my favourite day of the week.
This Friday happens to be very good because we have now finished sixth form for Christmas! Yes, for us 7 it is officially the Christmas holidays and as always, I plan on sleeping, eating and having some Christmas fun with my family... Oh wait, hang on - I do A-Levels now. No break from work for me.
I take four subjects at A-Level: Performing Arts, Travel&Tourism, Business and Psychology and all of them are A LOT of work, they take up most of the free time I have.
When I'm not doing work, like Ash, I spend countless hours fangirling over people who don't know I exist (many boy bands, actors and youtubers). I also spend any free time I have watching Doctor Who. A little fact about me: I have all 8 series of New Who (Whovians understand) on DVD. I love it that much, so expect some Who-related posts on my days (There will definitely be a post on boxing day about the Christmas special). I think there is a small nerd inside me somewhere...
Facts about me:
Welcome to your Thursday blogger- Maya♡
Hey guys, I'm Maya, your Thursday blogger from the seven sweethearts. Not really sure how I'm meant to start this post, so I'll begin with a little bit about myself.
I'm 16 years old, living in a small town in the middle of nowhere in this miserable-weathered country we call England! I attend a Sixth Form College alongside the rest of the Seven Sweethearts. I study Food Technology, ICT, Maths and Spanish - Stressed is an understatement!
My hobbies and interests, well, I suppose you could say I'm your typical teenage girl. I enjoy hair, nails, fashion trends, baking, listening to music and the occasional reading when I have time. I think its safe to say I spend way to much time painting my nails and Fun Fact; I (to date) own 87 bottles of nail varnish.
But anyways, the countdown to christmas begins as Christmas is just one week away! Eeekkk!
Im so excited for christmas. This year, my family & I are going down to Cornwall for Christmas. We spend a lot of time down in Cornwall, going at least 3-4 times a year. Its my favourite place to visit, its so peaceful,quiet and simply beautiful! I love to surf and swim, so down in Cornwall is a great opportunity for me to do this. Therefore it means next week, on Christmas day I'll be blogging from the beach, even if it will be freezing cold in this glorious English weather (!).
Sorry its been a little short and brief, I kinda suck writing introductions of things.
So my future posts will probably be based around baking, nail/hair tutorials, Product Reviews and just whatever is on my mind at the time of writing, so I hope you enjoy !:)
Goodbye for now,
Love
Maya ♡
Greetings from your Wednesday blogger
Greetings Y'all!
I'm Bri, and I'll be your regular Wednesday blogger. I'm a 100% certifiable unsociable nerd, and so I'll be taking you through things that catch my interest and things that I'm getting annoyed about recently. As a typical hippy-liberal leftist teenager that topic is probably going to be quite large, so stop me if I ramble. I've already decided a couple of segments I'll probably do regularly, which are (in no particular order)
- Let's Get Angry About... (My hippy liberal posts)
- TV Shows you Should Watch Before you Die (Self explanatory)
- Woman Crush Wednesday (Only Fitting)
- Writing Tips
These will probably be added to in due course as it's a pretty short list. Anyway, you'll probably want some form of introduction. So here, a brief overview of anything anyone would ever want to know about me.
Name: I have many (Satan is one of them) but let's just call me Bri.
Age: 2 years older than Moses
Looks Like: Vladmir Putin
Studying: English Literature, Philosophy, History and Spanish
Enjoying: Approximately none of them
Favourite Colour: Green
Favourite Food: Tacos (I'm having them tonight)
Favourite Show: The West Wing
Favourite Film: A toss up between Captain America: The Winter Soldier and The Help
Favourite Book: To Kill a Mockingbird
Favourite Music: Rock
Likes: Nothing and No-one (Except Bucky Barnes)
Hates: Everything and Everyone (Except Bucky Barnes)
As a Wednesday blogger I will be guiding you through the heartache of mid-week crises and occasionally adding to my list of Woman Crush Wednesdays (I have a lot).
Besides that, all you need to know is that I'm posting on Christmas eve next week, and that:
I'm with you 'till the end of the line, folks ♥
Facts about your Tuesday blogger -- Ash
Hey guys! =D
The name's Ash and welcome to my contribution of The Seven Sweetheart's blog! I'll be posting every Tuesday and keeping you all up to date with what's going on in my life. Which isn't very much as my life mainly consists of stressing over coursework for my A Levels.
School:
While we're on the topic of school, I do French, English Literature, Applied Science and Psychology in Sixth Form. If you don't know what Applied Science is then it's a BTEC and it's basically all three sciences combined (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) along with Forensic Science which I will be covering in Year 13. Cannot wait to do that nitty gritty stuff =D The other good thing about this is that it is 100% coursework so no exam for me! However it does mean that I can oh so easily fall behind on coursework which means that I will get no breaks. Yay. -_-
Hobbies:
My hobbies include reading, writing stories, procrastinating, sleeping, eating, fangirling over certain celebrities *cough* Daniel Radcliffe *cough* and listening to music almost 24/7. I am a total nerd over Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Lord of the Rings (including The Hobbit), Sherlock, Supernatural, Teen Wolf and countless numbers of anime which if I listed them all on here then this post would go on forever. However I must add Naruto to this as this is my favourite anime. "Dattebayo!" to all my fellow Narutards out there!
Facts about my life:
I turned 17 not too long ago and I am waiting for my provisional driving license to arrive. I cannot wait to drive even though I'm a bit worried as on Mario Kart Wii I have road rage. Hopefully though it won't be as bad as people won't be trying to hit me with turtle shells or throw banana skins at me. My favourite animal is an owl and I have over 100 owl ornaments at the moment. This is quite a useful fact to know as when my friends get stuck for ideas they often resort to getting me something owl related. Shout out to Lollie for my lovely owl scarf which I'm wearing as I write this! =P
I've lived in rainy old England for 15 years but I was born and lived in New Zealand for 2 years. I have been back there to visit my Godparents when I was round about 10 years old. My brother who's called Braden was born in Australia and he's 19. We don't talk as much as I would like but I still love him to bits =) I have quite a large extended family, with my grandparents, 5 aunts, 4 uncles, 8 cousins and my little baby second cousin =)
About my posts:
Anywho, enough about my life and more about this blog! Every week I'll try and write about a different topic for you guys to read about. These could be writing tips along with little snippets of stories, recipes for yummy food, certain news articles which have caught my interest or some of my favourite memories as well as my favourite experiences. Next week my next post will be about writing tips so I hope you will enjoy it! XD
Until next time!
Hello.... from your monday blogger
Hi,
Wow I really don't know what to write- I had planned out what I was going to say and had even posted it but my post seems to have disappeared- I blame the fairies.
So Hi, I'm Belle and  I'm 16 years old; I live in England; well Essex to be precise but oh well.
 So on Saturday my group of friends; Bri, Summer, Maya, Ash, Lollie and Payton and I were round Summers playing Mario kart and having a super fun time when  Lollie suggested we should all write a blog together; we all decided on a day to write and I got Monday which could be a good or a bad way- it will help me get through the day at least!
The first thing I think is worth telling about me is that I'm doing my A-levels at the moment and I'm studying  Textiles, philosophy and ethics, Travel and tourism and  ICT.  I actually go to sixth form with my friends who are also part of this blog and who study similar subjects to me.
My hobbies consist of watching lost, friends, once upon a time, house and super natural; I'm slightly addicted to reading also and spend a lot of my time either reading a physical book and reading on wattpad.
I live with my mother, father and my little sister who is 13- she doesn't seem so little anymore!
next week I will be making a post on how to make the best brownies ever!!
I will be using this blog to give out advise, tutorials, facts, responses and other bits; I really don't know how to end this...
well,
bye..
From Christmas to the "mystery package"
Hi guys,
I have no clue how to start this blog, my friends and I have recently decided this weekend during a Mario Kart Marathon to start a blog. We will all be posting on our seperate days during the week about whatever is on our mind, tips, feelings and more. This week we are going to give you an insight on who we each are- so here goes:
We live in England with the great British weather, sarcasm at full intent. I am one of 3, a brother and a sister. I am currently studying Textiles, ICT, Business Studies and Maths at A levels in 6th form. I have a pet dog- a ruby cavalier King Charles called Slinky and live with my mum, dad, dog and younger brother and sister. I have also a boyfriend- we are in a successful long distance relationship since we met in Ecuador this summer (although he does live in England as well, just 3 hours down multiple train lines).
In the summer holidays I went to Ecuador with a group called 'Camps International'. I went with some other students from our school and our science teacher too. When we got to the airport we then met up with another school- this was when we got told by our recently just met leader "Brad" we were going to be spending the next 4 weeks with this school as we took a great adventure helping the less fortunate out in Ecuador for the next month.
I am 16 and have quite a hectic lifestyle, although I sometimes get some time to relax. A level work takes over my life most of the time, but when I am not doing that I see my boyfriend once a fortnight and have nights in with The Seven Sweethearts. I now also write this blog once a week.
With Christmas coming up we got offered a school trip to a museum of our choice and the experience of Winter Wonderland in the evening. This was a purely 6th form only trip making the offer even better! The choice of museums were 'Natural History', 'Victoria and Albert' and 'Imperial War'. Myself, Bri and Belle chose 'Imperial War'.
On the topic of Christmas, this year I am spending the festive time of year with my family, my mum, dad, brother and sister. Much to my dismay, my boyfriend and I cannot spend Christmas together as he is away in Italy skiing. As much as I wanted to go, we found it impossible as the hotel was all booked up, this meant that in total we would be spending 30 days apart from one another over the most festive time of the year. Subject to this we had our own Christmas in late November where we exchanged presents and cards at a beautiful Christmas fare under the Christmas lights and the evening sky.
About a single week after I got back we were on the phone- this was when he told me about some mystery "surprise package" his family had sent me- from this information I got excited about the endless possibilities. Here were the clues I received:
- It was the parents idea mostly and he agreed to it
- It may/may not fit through the letter box
- It benefits me
- He hopes it will arrive soon, the sooner the better
- Something about counting down
- It is to do with this month but it isn't to do with Christmas
- It isn't a Christmas present
- I wouldn't think about buying it for myself
- It isn't educational- the complete opposite
- It's not really an object
- He isn't sure if my parents know or not
There may have been more clues but I honestly cannot remember them all! That is another thing you should know about me, I'm Mrs Forgetful!
 I hope you guys liked the first post from 'The Seven Sweethearts' blog. Please feel free to drop us comments, either about my post and the "surprise package" or questions and comments about our blog in general.
Thank you for reading!
Love
Summer xoxo
