Well this wasn't as planned... - Lollie

Hi It's me again! (Lollie... Incase you didn't know)
And as the title says - it's that time of week again. You should be lucky I named it that, it was going to be 'Crime-fighting, inter-species lesbian couple' or 'Sontaran Conversion'.
Why you ask? Well, ladies and gentleman, fellow Whovians everywhere - I have converted my sister to a who-loving, strax-adoring Whovian. All it took was one watch of 'Deep Breath' and 'Crimson Horror' and suddenly she was quoting The Doctor and particularly Strax, laughing and the funny bits and also drawing Madame Vastra! (This is the drawing she did for me, she's only 11 bless her)
Then she ask me to draw Madame Vastra:
Which then led to the download of multiple Vastra and Jenny pictures because come on - how can you not ship crime-fighting, inter-species, lesbian spouses consisting of a lizard women fro the dawn of time and a Victorian chamber maid from London with their pet potato who also happens to be an ex-leader of an iter-galactic Sontaran battle fleet who gets over excited at the use of weapons?
Anyway, I would pay a good amount of money to watch The Paternoster gang's spin-off tv show. I would love it! MOFFAT you need to do this.
They also need to come back in Series 9 of not, I will be very disappointed as I feel they should be in more episodes than they have been already.

Overall I just wanted to let you all know about this development and I hope you all had a good week and I hope you have an amazing week ahead I'll see you next Friday!

Until next time, Allons-y!
Lollie xoxo

Lollie's brain - What year is this?

*Materialises in the corner of an estate in London* What year is this?
Sorry, stupid me... It's 2015, I have a feeling I'm going to have a really great year.
But hang on, where are my flying cars! Where's my time travel and teleportation! I was promised, time travel, I specifically remember time travel being mentioned...

Anyway, let's get the boring bit out of the way:

New Year's Resolutions
- Try to get to sleep earlier when possible
- Loose weight gradually and exercise more
- Learn a new word every week and use it as much as humanly possible
- Spend my days with people who accept me as I am, flaws and all

Also some ground rules for 2015

Rule 1 - The Doctor Lies - Well you know, Doctor Who trailers lie and so does Steven Moffat
Rule 7 - Never Run When You're Scared - face up to your fears and if something seems scary, give it a go, it might seem daunting but  it'll be worth it if you don't run away.
Rule 27 - Never Knowingly Be Serious - Don't be serious all the time! Smile and have fun! It's good to let it all go and relax sometimes
Rule 400 (I am very keen on rule 400) -You Should Always Waste Time When You Don't Have Any - when you don't have any time, it's so easy to do other things. Make sure you focus you're time well, however, remember to spend your time on good things and not just stress and work, take a step back and waste so time on YOU
Rule 408 - Time Is Not The Boss Of You - Don't let your life be run by schedules and deadlines, it can also be snowballs and fun times. You get done what YOU need to get done, Time does not define you.

I  have a feeling that I'm going to become incredibly stressed within the next five months due to A Levels but do not fear, I will post once a week without fail, promise... Oh dear, It's already the second day of the year and I'm making promises already.

A thing I have been loving so far in this year is McBusted's album. It just puts me in such a good mood, in fact, I'm listening too it right now. There's only one or two down beat songs on there which I think helps put me in a better mood, it just makes me just want to get up and dance and air guitar and jump around.

I've been reading a book by Jacqueline Wilson called Opal Plumstead. I haven't read one of her books in a long time, however, I got this one for Christmas and it's really good. Ash originally got my into Jacqueline Wilson's books back in primary school and we both used to read them all the time. I know for a fact that Ash's favourite one is called The Diamond Girls, one that I haven't actually read. I think my favourite was possibly My Sister Jodie even though it was sad and I did like The Lottie Project, Vicky Angel and The Hetty Feather Trilogy.
Opal Plumstead is really good so far and my favourite character is Opal's sister, Cassie. I think she is very pretty and she has a certain liking for a man called David and her infatuation resemble that of mine towards certain celebrities...

For 2015, I have started a notebook. Each page is numbered 1-365 and numbered in chapters 1-12. Every day, I write one page about that day and I write a quote. I really do hope I keep it up otherwise it will be a bit of a fail.

Sadly, sods law, after Christmas, I have found a lot of things from eBay that I need/want for either cosplay or for my general amusement. I don't have enough to cover the expense of all these things and I cannot ask for them as it's just passed Christmas and my birthday isn't for another 8 months. So, instead, I just sit and stare at the on eBay and I watch the items even though I have no money to get them - I really need a job.
I'm also saving up to pay for my comic con ticket for May which I am very excited about. I'm hoping to go to all three days of the event as long as Ash, Bri, Belle and Payton are too. I have way to many cosplay ideas to just go on one day. My mind (and my pintrest for that matter) are full to the brim with ideas and characters that I could play but my bank account and lack of sewing skills say otherwise.

Wow, you've just had an insight into my brain for the first time. How'd it feel? Strange yup... I know me too, I have to deal with it every day.
Oh dear, I haven't sacred you off have I?
Well, Happy New Year, I hope you have a great year, remember: don't wander off, don't blink, don't think, don't turn around, don't be lasagne, don't answer the phone, don't forget and don't get lost in a state of temperoral flux...

Until next time, Allons-y Earthlings!

It's Christmas Eve Oh God (Hobbit spoilers ahead) - Wednesday's Child

Greetings Y'all!

And I should probably also say Merry Christmas Eve too. What are you guys exited for? Personally I'm exited for my eight season box set of House MD, which I've been waiting patiently for for about two months now. I'm also getting converse, but when it's a toss up between shoes and watching eight seasons of this, I'm totally picking the TV show. (There's also a super cute Australian doctor but we'll move past that.)

So, what have you been up to in the past week? Get up to anything interesting? Why am I asking questions? This isn't a conversation this is a blog post??

Anyway, I'm gonna tell you what I've gotten up to in the past week. And lemme tell you something, friend... It's been heartbreaking.

Let's do a timeskip from my Wednesday post to Friday, shall we? Let's do a timeskip all the way to when I watched the line of Durin literally get wiped out in the Battle of the Five Armies. Let's talk about the fact that they all deserved so much better dammit.

Alright, to begin my rant, let's talk about this little angel. Fili was the first of Durin's line to die, as he was killed by Azgog. Now this is the first little thing I have a problem with. Personally, as someone who is yet to read the book (it's on my New Years list, don't worry) Fili's death wasn't too bad. Used as an example by Azgog and a way of enraging both Thorin and Kili to fight hand to hand, Fili's death was heartbreaking. But after a little bit of thought on it, if Fili wasn't going to be given more than five minutes screentime before this point, he should have at least been given a more prominent role in his death.

When Azgog tosses him down in front of Kili to see, there's no mourning. Kili just draws his sword and rushes up the stairs like the adorable Dwarf/puppy he is, before promptly slashing his way through Orcs and meeting his own demise (more on that later.)

Does Fili not deserve any mourning? As the older brother, and the heir to the throne should Thorin die, should he not have had some form of mourning? I would have expected Kili to be shocked, maybe go to his brother and... Gee, I don't know, cry perhaps?? Instead he charged off to fight, and ended up getting stabbed in the chest.

Now, next we move on to my adorable Dwarf/puppy. I literally thought I was going to cry at his death, except I have a little problem with it. Tauriel.

Now don't get me wrong. Tauriel (who I'm going to name my awesome Elven princess) kicks ass. I love her by default as I've been a fan of Evangeline Lilly's for a long time, but I think the romance between her and Kili was a little overplayed. Kili entered his final fight against the Orcs fighting to avenge his brother, but he ended it by rushing to Tauriel's (a woman he'd known for less than a week by now) defense. The way I saw it, he died for Tauriel, and not for Fili. Now for me, that was wrong. Fili was his brother, and as much as he might have thought he loved Tauriel, he'd spoken to her maybe twice (one time she made a dick joke and the second time she saved his life so I think they're basically even). And up until this point, I had been so on board with the Kili/Tauriel romance. Just... In the midst of it I felt like the scene lost the point of why Kili had rushed into that fight to begin with.

I will now redirect you to this little angel his brother.

Okay, long rant short, the Hobbit actually broke my soul. The line of Durin deserved so much better.

So that's me done for this week (BOTFA has basically been the only thing on my mind since Friday), and I'll see you next week. Stay safe this holiday, Merry Christmas, and remember:

I'm with you 'till the end of the line, folks ♥
